Safe,
peaceful communities- All throughout
the state, Texans strive to build better communities
on a daily basis. We like to live in communities
that are peaceful and safe and where folks with
all types of backgrounds, races, and religions
can live and work together in mutual respect
and harmony.
Texans for peace believes that
strengthening a strong sense of community -
in every part of the state - is essential for
peace and justice. Here's how you can become
involved:
- Actively participate in local
city, county, and school board issues and elections.
- Join a civic, community, or
religious organization in your town.
- Foster dialogue between groups
of different people over the issues that affect
your community, Texas, and the world.
If your community doesn't already
have a group working towards peace and nonviolence,
contact us and we'll be glad to lend a hand.
