- Texans have a proud tradition of
standing up and "fighting for what's right"
whether by serving in the military or in civilian
capacities. We cherish hard-won freedoms, liberty,
and justice and challenge militarism wherever
it raises its ugly head.

n. Predominance of the armed forces in the
administration or policy of the state.
Texans for Peace remembers those
who choose to wear military uniforms, wherever
they are in the world, while challenging every
desire to use war or armed force as an instrument
of policy. Education and understanding of the
causes of militarism and war - and
development of peaceful alternatives -
is our
way.
